Don Allen is on his second tour with Wentworth. When he worked for us the mid-90’s, he served our clients so well that, later, one of them asked him to join them first in a human resources leadership role then as a divisional COO.

Don is the son of big band musicians, a former military pilot, a former LAPD officer, a former bank manager and a former candidate for a seat in the House of Representatives from the 27th Congressional District.

He started his recruiting career with a medical employment agency, a job that helped him become a recruiter and acting employment manager at Kaiser Permanente. He then became the employment manager at the UCLA Medical Center.

After his time with UCLA, Don joined Wentworth and performed successfully on several projects. He then joined McDonell Douglas Information Systems as a divisional human resources director. Later, he was promoted to chief operating office for that division. Don then took over Vista Hospital Systems, a $200 million dollar multi-hospital group that employed over 2,000 people, helping move it from losing money to making a $24 million profit/year.

Don rejoined Wentworth early in 2011, drawn back in by the impact he feels our analytics and process control tools will have on the recruiting marketplace. Since then, he has acclimated to a very different Wentworth Recruiting from the one he knew before and successfully contributed to or managed a number of projects.
